Genres and Their Openings

 Each genre typically has it's own distinct characteristics, themes and conventions which are often reflected in its openings. Some genres and their typical openings:

1. Action/Adventure:- "The sun beat down on Nathan astray set out on their mission to save the world"
2. Romance:- "It was love at first sight, or so they thought..."
3. Comedy:- "It all started with a harmless prank, but things quickly spiraled out of control"
4. Horror:- "We heard some screams on the abandoned house on top of the hill"
5. Thriller:- "The clock was ticking and Roy knew he had to act fast" 
6. Mystery:- "Detective Payne had seen some gruesome crimes in his life but this one..."
7. Drama:- "As Mike was standing on the stage, the weight of the world seemed to be on his shoulder"

Film openings can greatly vary within each genre.
